The 1960’s was one of the most remarkable decades bringing major changes to the world. This is the decade when TV8-301 was first introduced to the world and made history, and the VW Beetle of 1963 made a strong presence in six Disney films and became one of the most popular cars! This is the period when The Beatles became a worldwide phenomenon as they introduced a new style of music and Manos Chatzidakis won the Oscar for the production of the song “Ta pedia tou Piraia”. The twist was the new dance craze for young people and the modernist perception of the decade introduced to Athens the mini-skirt, a new wave of music and dynamic cars.
All of these (and many more) added an international tone to the traditional character of Greece. During this period, Panellinio became the first fully integrated service station. It provided fuel, a car wash, parking and a traditional café, all under the same roof. This is the period when Panellinio’s clients were known by their first name and thus, the service to each customer was personalized. This was and continues to be the culture at Panellinio – building personal and authentic relationships with its clients.
